Management Simulation

It wasn't that long ago, in the days of CD-ROMs, that the idea of working virtually was a pretty scary proposition. So daunting that Harvard Business School Publishing hired Marita Decker, our business associate, who hired us and OmniTech Consulting Group, to create a management simulation that would help people transition to working in virtual teams.

Part of the power of Marita's design was that the course wasn't just a course, but functioned as a real-time planner for managing one's own virtual team. We had the good fortune to animate the intro and several key "concept videos" that popped up in participant's inboxes that spotlighted some of the most critical concepts of the course. Pretty cool in the day. Sure, the content is dated now, but relevant in that this animation is a great demonstration of how important a course intro is in setting expectations and "onboarding" a new learner.
